Habitat for Humanity of Northern Virginia

ReStore: We have more volunteer opportunities than ever before at both our Alexandria and Chantilly locations. ReStore Alexandria is open Monday-Friday 10-5 and Saturday 9-5. ReStore Chantilly is open Monday – Friday 11-7 and Saturday 9-5. Both stores are closed on Sunday. We are always looking for support and we’re especially looking for people interested in regular volunteer slots. All ReStore volunteer opportunities are posted on the calendar below. Volunteers under the age of 16 require a parental chaperone. We cannot have volunteers under 12 years old.

Build Projects: We have recently learned that Perry Hall, our Arlington construction site, is going to require some major structural work that is going to put us on a significant delay in construction through the remainder of the year. We do however own 4 Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) properties in Herndon, Lorton and Chantilly (2). NSP 3 funding has also just been signed which may provide a new round of funding to purchase additional foreclosures for our affiliate. We are limited to the number of volunteers that we can accommodate at our NSP Properties (no more than 10 people). Volunteer opportunities will be posted when available. Potential Sponsors: The mission of Habitat Northern Virginia is to provide low-income families with simple and decent housing. Other Volunteer Opportunities: Administrative work, Special Event representation, and Committee work are posted as they are available. We are frequently looking for volunteers to help represent Habitat at giving fairs, trade shows, and many of our community events.
