Build Projects:
Volunteers on the construction site must be at least 16 years old. Volunteers ages 16 and 17 must have a volunteer waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
Currently all of our build opportunities at Perry Hall have been filled. If there are any openings for Perry Hall volunteers an email will be sent to those on the construction volunteer email list, as well as posted on our volunteer calendar. Due to the high cost and low availability of land in our service area, we do not have any future projects scheduled at this time.
If you would like to be added to the construction interest volunteer email group list, please email rkrempasky@habitatnova.org. The construction email list will be sent a notification when new construction opportunities are posted to the volunteer calendar.
A Brush With Kindness (ABWK):
Volunteers on the A Brush With Kindness construction site must be at least 16 years old. Volunteers ages 16 and 17 must have a volunteer waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
A program of Habitat for Humanity of Northern Virginia, is dedicated to preserving the vibrant character of neighborhoods in Northern Virginia by assisting low income families with exterior home repairs. Low-income homeowners impacted by age, disability or family circumstances often struggle to maintain the exterior of their homes. A Brush with Kindness helps these homeowners revitalize their homes and improve the look of their communities. Able-bodied homeowners are encouraged to work alongside the volunteers in a cooperative effort.
We are currently working on acquiring new A Brush With Kindness projects at this time. We hope to have projects for volunteers starting in March 2012!
Please sign up for our Construction Volunteer email group list by sending an email to Rachel rkrempasky@habitatnova.org The list will be sent a notification when new projects are posted!
